THE QUALITY OF YOUR ASSAYS DEPENDS ON THE PRECISION OF YOUR PIPETTES

A regular calibration of your pipettes as well as their correct maintenance increases their useful life and prevents errors.
At Glass Chemicals we take care of the verification, calibration and decontamination of your automatic pipettes, whether they are single channel or multichannel.
Collection and delivery service are included.

INITIAL INSPECTION

Pipette conditions evaluation.

CHECK SEALING

Replacement of O-Ring if necessary.
If replacement of other components is necessary, you will be asked to approve the corresponding quote before proceeding.

CALIBRATION ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER

In compliance with UNE-EN ISO 8655.
Report for multichannel pipettes (1-8 and 1-12).

ADJUSTMENT PROTOCOL

Pipettes are readjusted if out of tolerance.

BIOLOGICAL DECONTAMINATION
DELIVERY TERM

From 5 to 7 working days.

Calibration by gravimetric method using procedures based on international standards making 10 measurements of the nominal volume for pipettes of fixed volume. In the case of variable volume pipettes, they are tested in three different volumes (minimum, medium and maximum). Multichannel pipettes are tested on the first and last channels unless otherwise specified.

Pipettes with out-of-tolerance results are subjected to an adjustment of the aspiration and ejection device following the manufacturer’s protocol. After the adjustment they undergo a new calibration.

Issuance of a Certificate of Calibration with the ENAC mark according to the criteria included in the UNE-EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard for the realization of calibrations in the area of fluids. In this certificate the results prior to the adjustment and those obtained after the adjustment of the following parameters are detailed:

  • Correction to be applied (μL)
  • Actual volume (μL)
  • Standard deviation (μL)
  • Systematic error (%)
  • Coefficient of variation (%)
  • Expanded uncertainty (μL)

The calculations of the systematic error (%) and the coefficient of variation (%) are used for the evaluation of the conformity comparing them with the maximum permissible errors.
